The Suede Brothers – End Of The Year Interview

We here at EspyRock hooked up with Dylan Francis, Vocalist & Lead guitarist of the superb “The Suede Brothers“, and asked him about his highlights of this past year, the band’s plans for next year & last but not least; What is on his Christmas dinner menu?

We can also reveal that The Suede Brothers are in the process of releasing a Live album called “Live at the Beachland Ballroom” due out early next year, although no official date has been set.

Question timeR30;

How was the year 2009 for you?

2009 was a busy year. I really enjoyed putting out another album and playing a decent amount, but on that note I am also disappointed that we didn’t play as much as I had hoped for.

2010; What plans and high hopes do you have in store for next year?

Recording the next album is definitely on the top of my list of priorities at the moment. Also, we’re in the process of planning out some tours and show stints, so, we’ll see what happens with that.

What was your Musical Discovery of the year?

I really got into Queens of the Stone Age this past year, and I kept revisiting all my favorite White Stripes albums. It was a good year for revisiting some personal favorites.

Are there any bands/artists or albums that you have high hopes and are particularly excited about in 2010?

Maybe a new White Stripes album? I’m not sure yet…

If you had to pick one Experience and put it above the rest, what would that be?

Well, you can never beat a walk in the woods… I dig those times we all ‘click’ during rehearsals and rub off a new song or something…

Story of the year… thats a tough one… a warm fuzzy one is easier: I saw a video of a 2 year old dancing around to one of our songs, made my day.

Do you have any upcoming shows in the next couple of months?
