Abandon All Ships confirm UK release date of debut album Geeving

Toronto outfit Abandon All Ships will have their debut album, ‘Geeving’, released through Spinefarm Records on October 17th 2011.

This 10-track outing, produced by Mark Spicoluk, sees the band – formed back in 2006 – drawing from a wide variety of influences, including hardcore, euro & dance; the end result is an innovative, entirely modern rock sound that has seen them picking up awards (ie. the MuchLOUD ‘Rock Video Of The Year’ at the MuchMusic Video Awards for ‘Geeving’) and going Top 30 on the Billboard Charts.

Having spent the past 12 months touring in the US & Canada (playing with bands like Protest The Hero, and currently featuring as part of the Vans Warped package) and releasing such genre-bustin’ singles/videos as ‘Take One Last Breath’ & ‘Megawacko 2.0’, AAS are now ready to play their first shows in Europe, featuring on a bill that includes Miss May I, Chelsea Grin, and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk; in addition to appearances in Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy & Austria, this run of dates – ‘The Artery Foundation Across The Nation European Tour 2011’ – also numbers six stop-offs in the UK, which are as follows:-

October 2011
21 – Cardiff, Millennium Music Hall
22 – Leeds, The Well
23 – Cathouse, Glasgow
24 – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
25 – Manchester, Sound Control
26 – London, Underworld

A single/video from the ‘Geeving’ album, ‘Guardian Angel’ (featuring Lena Katina from the Russian band t.A.T.u.), will be released through Spinefarm on October 17th to support the live visit; the bonus track will be a previously unreleased number called ‘Shake Your Aas’.
