Aerosmith deny break up, breather and new album

In a well documented incident in August, while performing, Steven Tyler fell off stage injuring his back and left shoulder.

From that moment it has been no secret, Joe Perry, had reached his limit with the frontman.

Perry recently discussed how upset and disappointed he was, that the band had to call off their North American tour to Steven Tyler’s injury.

In an interview Perry had stated he had not spoke to Tyler in weeks since the incident, not knowing what was happening with him but has heard he was recovering.

Perry continued to say that “he’s got to get his act together”. This comes down to the fact that the band has not written any original material since “Just Push Play”

“He and I haven’t written a song together alone in the same room in over ten years, so there’s been some changes in paradigm of what Aerosmith is.”

“Just Push Play” was the last original studio album released by the band in March 2001, but was written over 1999-2000 and recorded in the year of 2000.

With the rift between band members Perry has said that the band will take a breather, and hopes the band will unite in spring to begin recording their next album.

“Maybe we have three more records in us. Maybe we have five, seven years of touring” (Boston Herald)

This news has been be greeted with positive reception, but whether the problems with the band are resolved or not, we will just need to wait and see.
