Aerosmith may replace Tyler

With the band certain to take a break, it looks more than likely that the band will actually split for good.

Tensions between Steven Tyler and the rest of the members of Aerosmith have been growing and during their most recent tour when Tyler fell off stage injuring himself, enough was enough.

Allegations were everywhere including that Tyler was heavily drinking and taking drugs, but all these rumours were soon put to bed by the band and the singer.

Talking with Classic Rock, the singer now appears to feel it is time to do something on his own and away from the band as they near their 40th anniversary.

“I don’t know what I’m doing yet, but it’s definitely going to be something Steven Tyler: working on the brand of myself – Brand Tyler.”

Joe Perry recently stated the band still had at least 3-5 albums they could make, with at least another 10 years of touring still in them, but with all the recent happenings, it would appear the only future is without him.

Brad Whitford revealed:

“I’m not sure how good that would look, it would largely depend on who we could get and who would want to do it. That’s big shoes to fill.

“Nobody could replace Steven or imitate him – he’s one of a kind. But if somebody was willing to do it and the chemistry was right, why not?”
