Aliases unleash debut video What’s Left For Us from forthcoming new album

UK Technical Metal masters Aliases have unleashed their debut video for ‘What’s Left For Us?’ on website, Metal Injection.

The track comes from the band’s forthcoming debut mini album ‘Safer Than Reality’ which will be released on August 15th via Basick Records. Featuring 8 blistering tracks of technical metal and progressive groove Aliases are redefining the genre’s boundaries, with a hunger for experimentation and no fear of extremes.

Produced by international film-maker Benjamin Cappelletti, the video was shot on location in Manchester. Benjamin comments: “I was very excited to work with Aliases because I’ve never heard their style of music before, it’s so rapidly executed and aggressive that I knew my video had to be as dynamic as their sound. Inspired by watching fluorescent material floating down a river, I decided that I had to have this effect in the video, using UV light to reveal the fluorescent liquid allowed me to create two different aspect of the same thing.”

Singer Jay Berast adds: “It was a great to work with Ben Cappelletti. We’ve been friends for a long time, but this has been our first opportunity to work together on a project. When I approached him to do our video, he immediately became attached to the lyrics ‘I will show you another side’ and wanted to produce a concept to reflect them. We absolutely love the result and hope that our fans enjoy it too!”

Since forming a year ago the band have wasted no time in completing their line-up, releasing a demo track ‘We Never Should Have Met’, playing their debut gig at Euroblast Festival in Germany, signing to Basick Records, touring the UK with Chimp Spanner and all whilst writing and recording their 8 track debut. Rising from the melting-pot minds of ex SikTh guitarist Pin, guitarist Leah Woodward, ex Veils drummer Darren Pugh, ex Veils bassist Joe Heaton and Paris based vocalist Jay Berast, ALIASES are interested only in taking Metal on a new and limitless path, producing tracks with an addictive, head banging immediacy that are set to mentally engage and challenge the listener.
