Anvil perform on Conan O’Brien

Canadian heavy metal rockers Anvil, in support of the release of their documentary on DVD in North America and their re-released album “This Is Thirteen”, made their debut on late night television.

Anvil, who have been performing since 1978, got their name back in the light when former Anvil roadie Sacha Gervasi directed a documentary about the band titled “Anvil! The Story of Anvil”.

Since the critical acclaim of the film, the band’s name is one that, if you somehow never knew before, you certainly do now and of course, if the documentary leads to you opening for AC/DC, then is there left to say?

Last month, due to the success of the documentary, VH1 Classic Records decided to re-release Anvils album “This Is Thirteen” which previously was only for sale on the bands website.

You can now pick up the album on CD and vinyl with a newly recorded track, and the vinyl LP includes freshly recorded versions of “Metal on Metal” and “666”.

Appearing on Conan O’Brien, the band performed “Metal on Metal”
