Art Of Dying frontman releases new solo song
Jonny Hetherington, frontman of Art of Dying has released a brand new song titled “Better”, to his MySpace player for his solo acoustic work.
With the release of the song, Jonny posted the lyrics with the following statement:
hope you enjoy “Better”. It’s a really special song for me. I wrote it a little while back with Mike Herrara from MXPX in Seattle. We had a blast over a couple days diving into a few songs and this one ended up really speaking to me.
I recorded this acoustic version with Greg and Jeff from Art of Dying at Rock Beach in White Rock with the help of our good friend Sammy Fernette on bass and back ground vocals.
This song in particular reminds me of our creed: The art of dying is your life to live.
Enjoy.

I’m still the same man that took your hand those years ago
Still feels like yesterday
There’s so many things I should’ve let you know
So many things I need to say
I need to sayThere’s no way out alive
I’m running out of time
You may never get this letter
But if somehow I survive and make it out alive
I’m gonna love you so much better
Love you so much betterI know I let my selfishness get in the way
I should’ve given my time to you
Why do we push the ones we love the most away?
Why do I do the things I do?
Why do I do what I do?There’s no way out alive
I’m running out of time
You may never get this letter
But if somehow I survive and make it out alive
I’m gonna love you so much better
Love you so much betterYou wake up everyday and do it all again
One day it’s the end
Buried in the flames, never to be found
My love, I let you downThere’s no way out alive
I’m running out of time
You may never get this letter
But if somehow I survive and make it out alive
I’m gonna love you so much better
Love you so much better
