Baptized In Blood unleash album and shows in June

Canadian marauders Baptized In Blood are pleased to confirm their very first visit to the UK for this June. Co-managed by infamous Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine, the band will be performing songs from their new self-titled album, produced by Zeuss.

Influenced by everything from Gothenburg to glam—as long as it’s distorted—this London, Ontario-based five-piece runs the metallic gamut, creating a sound that is technically-inspired yet groove-oriented in the same throw. Merging diverse aspects of thrash, punk, and classic rock, their eponymous LP boasts a hard edge bolstered by clear melodies and pummeling amplitude.

“There are straight-up screamers who take it very seriously and have that tough guy, ‘I’m gonna kill you’ atmosphere in their music,” notes guitarist Josh Torrance. “But you have the opposite end of the spectrum where bands play the same type of stuff but have extremely clean singing. We’re right in the middle. Johl’s screaming his ass off the entire time but you hear the melody. It’s just as dirty either way though. As for the guitars, we’re modern thrash but once again, a bit of glam inspiration infuses that excitement and flare.”

“Either way, it’s all about the metal,” interjects the band’s frontman, Johl Fendley. “If I had just raspy vocals the whole time, we’d be slotted in with thrash but if I was only guttural, we’d be called death metal. I move between all of that so we can’t be pinned down. Baptized In Blood adapts to our surroundings because these songs are for us; what we want to hear.”

Baptized In Blood will be pillaging:
Glasgow King Tuts – Monday 13th June –
Birmingham O2 Academy 3  – Tuesday 14th June –
London O2 Academy 2 Islington – Wednesday 15th June –

Tickets are on sale now for a recession-busting £5 (£6 London).

The band are honoured to reveal they will also be performing at the legendary Download Festival at Donington Park, between Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June (day TBA). Tickets for Download can be picked up at
