Biffy Clyro to release new album next year

Biffy Clyro have announced that over Christmas they will begin to work on their hugely successful album ‘Only Revolutions’. Bassist James Johnston had the following to say to the Daily Record:

“It is something we are really excited about. We have started doing a little bit of work, but until we are truly off the road we never really think about recording.

“When we get some time at home over Christmas, we will start concentrating on the new songs.

“We are eager, we are excited but we understand you only get one chance to make a record and we don’t want to mess it up, we won’t rush it then forever regret it. We have a lot of now and it important produce B-sides, great really make single like a mini-proper its own.

“I think there is pressure on us because of the success of Only Revolutions, but we will truly find out when we sit down to write and record.

“I am hoping, because we are still up in Scotland and out of the eyes of the industry in a way, we can be ourselves and do things the way we want to do them. It’s not like it’s a chore, it’s something we can’t wait to do, which makes it a lot easier.”

The band recently released a compilation album titled ‘Lonely Revolutions’ which features their B-sides from their album ‘Only Revolutions’. You can pick this album up right now.
