Corey Taylor comments on Slipknot return stating it may be years before a new album

While fans are currently listening to album back to back and are as happy as they could ever be about the announcement of Slipknots return next year, frontman Corey Taylor doesn’t seem all too sure about the decision to go ahead just yet.

The first announced performance is a headlining spot at Sonisphere UK but Corey took to his Twitter account to state that these shows are for the fans and family. With the band only playing shows for the current future, Corey states he is not sure when he will be ready to make another album and informs fans that it could be years.

Honestly, I don’t know how to feel about the tour. But it’s for the fans, and for the family. We’ll see.

I don’t know WHEN I’ll be ready to make an album. Might not be for years. But we will definitely play shows. We’ll see what happens.
