Every Avenue announced as main support to Young Guns on UK dates

Every Avenue will make their highly anticipated return to the UK this September, supporting Young Guns on their headline tour. “We’re stoked to be supporting Young Guns on tour this September!” notes the band’s singer David Strauchman. “It will be amazing getting back to the UK and playing our new material from Bad Habits for all of you. After a full summer in the heat of Warped Tour in the States we’ll be ready for some rain haha! Get ready, UK – we’re coming to party!” Young Guns’ singer Gustav Wood says of the band’s addition to the bill – “to have an established American band of their calibre is amazing”

Every Avenue will release  their new album Bad Habits in the UK on 5th September. The Michigan pop rock quintet’s third album was produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, The Almost, Acceptance) and Mark Weinberg (Matt Nathanson, Houston Calls). Exposing a glimpse of a darker side with this addictive album, Every Avenue gives the savvy melody and musicianship they have become known for a whole new swagger. This is an act with new poise, invigorated by the thrill of making an album that every member is truly proud of.

On Bad Habits, the band delves into a variety of different musical styles, held together by a spine of quality rock that has become synonymous with Every Avenue. From storming opening track “Tie Me Down”, lyrically savoring the bittersweet frustration of relationships, it’s clear this is Every Avenue 2.0. “Whatever Happened To You”, an edgier, harder-hitting incarnation of their former selves which sees singer David Strauchman’s vocals pushed to their limits, embodies the sentiment of Bad Habits: of growing older in a fickle scene, united by themes of accepting your demons, and at times reveling in them. However, it’s the two standout tracks on the album that sees their cohesive musical conflict at its peak. Sweeping, stadium-worthy ballad “Fall Apart”, and pounding, gritty call-to-arms “No One But You”, shows that the band are as at ease with poignant songwriting as they are with rabble-rousing hard rock tracks. “I feel on this record, we just did what we wanted, and it really paid off,” notes singer David Strachman. ”We didn’t think twice about the writing, we played with different styles – we had fun and did what felt right. We’re more proud of this record than any other we have made.”
