Filter check in after trip to Iraq
US alternative/industrial rockers Filter just returned from their trip to Iraq where the band played for the troops. Mainman Richard Patrick checks in and sums up that short tour:
“It was an honor to be in the thick of it all with the American service men and women in Iraq. The Mid-east has been in chaos since before our country was even a British colony. Our brave and determined soldiers are well trained and extremely professional. In short… they work hard. Burdened with the task of nation building and security enforcement, they’ve got a ten ton brick on their backs. One thing is for sure though…. It takes a real American soldier to kick back a party directly in the middle of a war zone. I’m glad FILTER could be the soundtrack for their evening. Rock on and come home safe!”
