First Blood announce European tour

San Francisco’s First Blood are excited to release their summer 2011 touring plans! The band will hit Europe for 2 months this summer playing shows with their friends in Agnostic Front, Madball, Sick Of It All, Blood For Blood, Bury Your Dead, Earth Crisis, Hatebreed, and even sharing the stage with metal legends Iron Maiden. The band will also be making appearances at all the popular hardcore and metal festivals like Novarock (Austria), With Full Force (Germany), Summerblast (Germany), Ieper Fest (Belgium), and many more. Get your dancin’ shoes on!

Singer and songwriter Carl Schwartz checked in to say, “We are so stoked to play again this coming summer 2011 at some of the biggest hardcore and metal festivals in all of Europe. Add a few more cities and countries where First Blood has never before appeared along with an ambush of killer club shows with hardcore legends Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, Madball, Blood For Blood, and many more, and we’ve got ourselves a crushing two month run. Europe… get ready. This summer is gonna be brutal!”

First Blood just released their highly-anticipated sophomore release entitled “Silence Is Betrayal” on Bullet Tooth. Featuring 15 songs of musical devastation and lyrical condemnation, First Blood relights the flame and burning spirit that originally brought the band together. “Silence Is Betrayal lays it all out on the table with a point of view that leaves little to misinterpretation” is how Carl describes the strong lyrical focus of challenging the status quo, while remaining every bit as true-to-sound to the brutal musical aggression that many have come to expect of First Blood. “Silence Is Betrayal is every bit as heavy and abrasive as First Blood gets, complete with a war-torn soundtrack of armageddon breakdowns and relentless sing-along calls to action.”
