Flood Of Red bassist leaves band

Flood Of Red have announced that bassist Jim McGowan has left the band with the official statement below:

Five years ago today, we welcomed a new friend into the band. Sadly five years on we announce that our longtime friend and bass player Jamie McGowan will be leaving Flood of Red.

Jim has decided that it’s time for him to move forward in achieving different and more personal goals and although we are very sad to see him go, we absolutely wish him all the best for his future adventures and endeavors. He will remain a constant friend and brother to us always.

Jim will be playing the next few shows with us throughout April before continuing on his own way, so make sure you come out to a show and see him off properly. After that we will continue to write exciting, fun, new music. We have a few close friends who will help us out with the live shows, and we’re extremely positive with our own forward movement.

Moving on from Jim’s departure from the band, tomorrow we can also bring you the first episode of ‘Flood, Sweat & Tears’ a series of short documentaries following us as we prepare to move forward and further with our music and ourselves – PLEASE STAY TUNED!

Please enjoy the first episode and wish Jim the best of luck in taking the first new steps of his future.

The band have posted on their Facebook that the show in Glasgow, April 25th will likely be the last ever performance with Jim.
