Iggy Pop & The Stooges Ready For Comeback

In an interview with 6 Music Iggy Pop revealed that he & the Stooges will be touring together next year.

“The band have been rehearsing more without me than with me because I’ve been doing other things this year. But we have been rehearsing all together more recently,” he said, and continued: “We’re going to be doing a one-off show in Brazil in a few weeks but the real touring starts next year.”

The original guitarist James Williamson will rejoin the band after nearly 30 years as a replacement of the recently deceased Ron Asheton.

Iggy Pop was awarded with the “Living Legend” award at the Classic Rock awards yesterday, joining ranks with Legends as Alice Cooper, Lemmy, Jimmy Page and Ozzy Osbourne, all of whom are previous ‘Living Legend’ winners.
