James May to present band at High Voltage

Following the launch of the UK’s new prestige rock festival, in 2010, High Voltage returns in 2011 with exclusive performances from headliners Judas Priest and Dream Theater, UK festival exclusives from Black Country Communion, Jethro Tull, Queensryche, Thunder, Neal Morse and Spock’s Beard and performances from Slash, Thin Lizzy, Michael Schenker group, John Lee’s Barclay James Harvest, Skin, Rival Sons, Amplifier, Von Hertzen Brothers, Caravan, The Enid, Pallas, Saint Jude, Anathema, Curved Air, Mostly Autumn, Neurosis, Electric Wizard, Evile, Grand Magus, Raven’s Creed, Primitai, Attica Rage, Black Spiders, Gentlemens Pistols and Furyon and more….

James May Presents…Love Fungus
High Voltage are pleased to announce their involvement in the second series of James May’s BBC2 series “Man Lab” – where James May teaches modern man skills he really should know. James has brought back the mighty but little known Love Fungus for another stab at the limelight. The band – made up of Mat ‘Mush’ McIvor (Vocals), Mark ‘The Bone’ Rabone (Lead Guitar), Dennis ‘D’ Day (Rhythm Guitar), Ben ‘Jim Morrison’ Upton (Bass Guitar) and Ian ‘Kel’ Kelly (Drums) – will put aside their day jobs and relive past glories first on the mainstage of High Voltage Festival on Sunday 24th July 2011. This will be the first time the band has performed in twenty years and will be a 2011 UK festival exclusive! The band will be presented onstage by James May to the High Voltage hardcore and the show will air in late 2011…

Lady Starlight DJ Set
High Voltage are very pleased to announce a DJ set by Lady Gaga collaborator Lady Starlight. Lady Starlight is is an American rock’n roll DJ, go-go dancer, fashion stylist, writer and performance artist based in New York City’s Lower East Side, and she will DJ in the VIP are area on the evening of Saturday 23rd July.

2011 will also see the inaugural High Voltage Beer Festival. The Beer Festival with have its own area with traditional bench table seating in a marquee that will have one side open with seating inside and outside. Also it will feature a stage for Acoustic / Folk / Blue Grass / Country / Blues music that will be made up of bands selected from GetMeOnStage.com. 14 bands will be selected from unsigned acts that submit to play. High Voltage offers a new and unique festival experience for rock fans of all ages. Only High Voltage gives ticket buyers the freedom to design their own bespoke festival package – which can include accommodation, transport and VIP entertainment.

Tickets priced £99 (for weekend tickets) and £56.50 (for day tickets) – subject to booking fee. VIP tickets will be available at £105.00 for the day, £199.00 for the weekend – subject to booking fee. There will also be various VIP and hotel packages available, at varying price levels to suit.
