Killing Joke join Camden Crawl 2011 line-up

Killing Joke have now joined the line-up for ‘Camden Crawl 2011’, set to run from April 30th – May 1st; this will see them lining up alongside the likes of Graham Coxon, The Lemonheads & British Sea Power.

In addition, the legendary British band have been confirmed for this year’s Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House on July 8th, their second appearance at the event.

As with KJ’s recent ‘Ether Festival’ show at the Royal Festival Hall in London, these forthcoming high-profile outings will feature the original band line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Paul Ferguson & Youth; they coincide with the release of new EP/video ‘European Super State’ on May 9th via Spinefarm Records.

Taken from the band’s current/13th studio album, ‘Absolute Dissent’, released last year through Spinefarm to huge critical acclaim, ‘European Super State’ will be available on six-track CD, digital download & 4-track limited edition coloured vinyl 12”, with all formats carrying exclusive bonus studio & remix material, including a reworking of the title track by Godflesh mainman Justin Broadrick. The 12” will be exclusively available from What Records (www.whatrecords.co.uk)

Once described by drummer Paul Ferguson as “the sound of the earth vomiting”, Killing Joke – covered by Metallica, Foo Fighters, Helmet and more – now stand as one of rock’s most influential outfits, continuing to write and perform songs best suited to the apocalypse (imminent in their book!).
