Korn announce The Path Of Totality release date

Korn have announced that their brand new album ‘The Path Of Totality’ will be released on 5th December.

The album is a far cry away from their nu-metal back catalogue as they have collaborated with a series of dubstep and electronic artists and producers for an experimental release.

“The title The Path of Totality refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time,” Korn frontman Jonathan Davis explained. “That’s how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I’m not sure it could ever happen again”

The album will come as a standard eleven track CD and also as a deluxe version which will include bonus tracks and a DVD of ‘The Encounter’. ‘The Encounter’ was a special concert performed by Korn in the middle of a 900 foot long crop circle which was specially cut out for them to include their logo and a further design. The circle was created over in two stages over two days by circle makers John Lundberg, Wil Russell, Rob Irving and Mark Barnes. The DVD will include the full concert, which was shown on TV and in abbreviated form online, to fans who purchase the deluxe edition and if you haven’t already seen the concert, view it below.
