Lincoln boss Danny Cowley denies holding Sheffield Wednesday talks

Lincoln boss Danny Cowley has denied that he has held talks with Sheffield Wednesday.
After the clubs agreed compensation the 40-year-old, who did admit to discussions with Huddersfield, confessed to being frustrated at the continuing speculation linking him with a move to Hillsborough.
“It would be great to put it if I can, but you guys always appear to find out more than I do,” he told a media conference on Thursday.
“We’ve already spoken about Huddersfield. There has been no contact from Sheffield Wednesday.
“I can not control what people say or write. All I can do is restrain where my focus is based and that’s entirely about the game forward from Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.”
Huddersfield are after sacking Jan Siewert four games into this season, while the Owls are still looking for a new manager after Steve Bruce stop to join Newcastle at mid-July.
Cowley has come to be a candidate for occupations in greater divisions after over three successful years in Sincil Bank, that has included returning the Imps as League Two champions to League One last season.
