Mercedes’ advisor Aldo Costa to leave F1 world champions

Aldo Costa, among the main figures behind Mercedes’ recent victory, will abandon the group, it has been declared.
Costa, who had been technology manager moving into a technical function this season, will depart the world champions to combine Italian manufacturer Dallara.
“Ever since stepping back in my position as engineering manager, I’ve enjoyed supporting the team in this season and also have been searching for my second challenge beyond Formula 1,” he explained.
“After several years working in the pinnacle of our sport, I am excited to be able to contribute some of what I’ve learned to some other racing series and also to high-tech projects outside rushing.
“One of my personal passions is to mentor and grow young gift, and it will be a focal point for me to help attract and develop the upcoming generations of engineering talent at Dallara in years ahead.”
Costa became manager of this group before departing for Ferrari seven decades later and combined minnows Minardi in 1988.
He spent 16 years in Italy, also was among the major architects behind the Schumacher-Ferrari dominatio, as well as being chief designer during Kimi’s Raikkonen 2007 name victory.
The 58-year-old abandoned Ferrari from 2011 to join Mercedes as technology manager, also has included the following 10 world championships (five motorists’ and five constructors’) into his honours, including four titles such as Britain’s Lewis Hamilton.

Dallara possess a motorsport legacy that is rich, and are involved with the building of automobiles from Formula Two, IndyCar and Formula Three. Costa will begin work about them.
