Metallica to start work on new album in September

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed that the band should be ready to begin work on their new album this September, as soon as their other commitments are taken care of. The band are currently working on a 3D movie and will also be performing at this year’s Outside Lands on the 11th August but Lars feels that everything should be done in early September, allowing them to just focus on music.

He further commented that James Hetfield has been working on some material and that he has been adding drums parts to them as he records.
