Michael Tremonti comments on recent Alter Bridge rumours

Michael Tremonti (brother to Mark and Alter Bridge’s fan/press liaison) has spoken out regarding the news that Alter Bridge have signed to Roadrunner Records and they will tour in support of Godsmack in the US in March 2011.

Billboard.com spilled the news of Alter Bridge releasing their third album via Roadrunner Records in a recent article regarding Creed which said: “Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips, meanwhile, have finished work on the third album by their other band, Alter Bridge, which is due out in late September on Roadrunner.”

Michael replied to fans on the Alter Bridge forum by stating “I can not confirm nor deny the Roadrunner rumor at this time. I will say that a proper press release on this subject will be issued when and if it is appropriate. There are many exciting things going on in the biz world of AB, with many moving parts, and it would be premature to talk about anything yet.”

It has also been said that the band will tour as the support to Godsmack in March 2011 which has been met with a negative reaction from the Alter Bridge fans and Michael also took time to comment on this matter: “I also want to say that AB supporting Godsmack next year in the USA has been discussed, as both bands share the same management, but nothing is set in stone as of yet.”
