Napalm Death to release special 25th anniversary of Scum

Napalm Death have announced that they will re-release their 1987 debut album ‘Scum’ on limited edition CD and coloured vinyl on 5th March. ‘Scum’ has been remastered from the original tapes it was recorded on with full dynamic range (FDR). You can view a comparison of the audio from the previous remastered CD in 1995 to the new one at this location.

Original Napalm Death guitarist and founding member Mick Harris states: “It sounds wicked – that record still holds up today and I’m proud I was part of it.”

The limited edition ‘Scum’ CD comes housed in a digipak sleeve and includes the previously unreleased rough mix of the entire album as a bonus, complete with original ad libs and intros from the studio and an alternate version of the title track. The collector’s LP version is available in the following quantities and colours:

100 – Lime Green – sold out
200 – Lilac
300 – Magenta
800 – Black & White
