Oceansize postpone remainder of UK tour

Manchester five-piece Oceansize have been forced to cancel the four remaining dates of their current UK tour, as drummer Mark Heron is being treated in hospital for undisclosed reasons. However, the band have promised to reschedule the cancelled shows in the new year.

The dates that have been postponed are as follows:

November 30 – Aberdeen Tunnels,
December 1 – Glasgow King Tut’s,
Dec 2 – Liverpool Masque,
Dec 3 – London Heaven.

The band posted the following message on MySpace:

“Ladies and Gents,

It’s with dismal regret and snotted beak we must announce the postponement of our entire tour. It’s been touch and go for a few days with our drummer, Mark, who’s back in the hospital being treated for something jolly nasty. Mark is very ill and has been admitted to hospital indefinitely, we thought it best to postpone the dates until the New Year as it’s unlikely he will be well enough in time and as I’m sure you all understand it’s vital he makes a full recovery. We will have a full re-scheduled tour early next week.

All tickets will from the original dates will be valid. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. We hope you can all make these new shows – the European dates were awesome and we’ve got some tasty new tunes for you to get your gums ’round.

We apologise to anyone who’s lost money on pre-booked hotels/trains etc. We’ll endeavour to make it up to you on the new dates.

Tonight, instead of tearing Nottingham a new arse, i’m gonna sit in and sing John Lee Hooker numbers to the cat.

With respect,

Oceansize”
