Queen confirm Sonisphere UK 2012 is cancelled

Queen have confirmed on their official website that Sonisphere 2012 has been cancelled. Whether all of the dates on the tour have been cancelled or if it is just the UK date has still to be confirmed by the festival organisers.

The story was leaked by Queen, like they did with the first band announcement, and although they have pulled it off their site, it still partially remains in the archive but links back to the sites homepage.
