Rage Against The Machine have no plans for a new album

Zack De la Rocha had fans excited when he stated that Rage Against The Machine would likely record a new album in the near future but Tom Morello has killed the plans for the time being by stating that what was quoted was “inaccurate” and there are “no plans for that now”. Recently interviewed on 101.1 WJRR, Tom Morello stated the following (transcribed by Blabbermouth):

“I think that that is an inaccurate quote. There’s no plans for that now.” He added, “We’re playing some shows in South America. The band gets along great, we’re playing some of the best shows of our career over the last couple of years, and no one is ruling out that… [Zack’s] been in the middle of making a One Day As A Lion record, and he’s been on tour with that, I have a Street Sweeper [Social Club] record coming out, and I’m working on he next The Nightwatchman record. So there’s no plans to go into the studio and do that now, but as a band, I hope that we will continue to, at a minimum, play shows in the future.”
