Rev Theory working on new album

Rev theory have posted an update which informs fans that they are working on a brand new album with Terry Date.

We’re well aware this update is loooong overdue, and most of you have been waiting patiently in the dark for a while now, but starting with this email we promise to keep the updates coming frequently as we gear up for a busy second half of 2010 and beyond!

We’ve been working tirelessly over the past few months writing and recording the follow up to “LIGHT IT UP” at Henson Studios in LA with mega-producer Terry Date who’s done some of the best sounding timeless rock records of all time, including; Pantera, Soundgarden, Rob Zombie, and Deftones to name a few. The new stuff sounds AMAAAAZING, and obviously we can’t wait to unleash it all in the not too distant future. While in the studio, we’ve been capturing a lot of sick footage and would like to do something extra special this time around to provide our fans with exclusive insight behind the significance and evolution of each song by creating “making of” videos to complement our new music. Stay tuned for more on that!

As most of you know late last year we created the Broken Bones Foundation, a charitable organization in memory of Julien’s mother who lost her life in September of 2007 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. The mission of our foundation is to raise awareness and funding, while stimulating action in support of humanitarian causes. The first initiative we launched is our “Rock Cancer” campaign. The “Rock Cancer” campaign is supporting SeventyK, a cancer advocacy group for adolescents and young adults. SeventyK represents the approximate 70,000 adolescent and young adults, aged 15-39, who are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States.

In just a few short months, the Broken Bones Foundation has already garnered a ton of love from various supporters including LP33 TV and CHOC (Children’s Hopsital of Orange County), in addition to of course all our amazing and super generous fans, friends and families. For more info, please check out the official site at . While there, we encourage you to make a $5 donation which in return gets you an exclusive “REV THEORY ROCK CANCER” bracelet, or an $8 donation which gets you the bracelet in addition to a Broken Bones digital download. We’ll even sweeten the offer by rewarding one lucky fan who makes a donation from now until June 30 a signed Rev Theory guitar!
For more exclusive info and content on the Broken Bones Foundation please head over to Beyond that, we now have our very own Rev Theory branded toolbar at, where every search raises money for the Broken Bones Foundation. Very cool stuff!

Since we’ve spent the overwhelming majority of 2010 working on our new album, we’ve been off the road for quite a while, until we were fortunate enough to make our return to the stage a couple weeks ago, on the mainstage at KQRC’s “ROCKFEST” in Kansas City. Even though making a killer album is our #1 priority at the moment, this is arguably our favorite festival to play and we simply couldn’t refuse the offer!! KQRC has long been a huge supporter of Rev Theory and KC Rev Theory fans are second to none! The weather didn’t exactly cooperate, but we had a blast as always and even debuted a couple new tunes in our set. We immediatly returned to LA the next day to continue working on our new album, but took another abbreviated-break to play the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino pool in Las Vegas this past weekend. A great time was had by all, and it was awesome to see all our of Vegas family at the show…Vegas baby Vegas!

Well…that’s about it for now. As we promised, we’ll be sure to keep the updates coming on the regular from this point forward. In the meantime, be sure to keep up with us on,,, and
