Royal Republic return to the UK for more shows

New Swedes on the block, Royal Republic are set for a rapid return to the UK after their successful debut dates last month.   Having been reviewed as 4K-rated ‘terrific stuff’ by Kerrang! at their debut UK show, the band promise many more to come in 2011, starting with the following dates:

Sat 28th May – Bristol Dot To Dot Fest (venue tbd)
Sun 29th May – Nottingham Dot To Dot Fest (venue tbd)
Mon 30th May – Manchester Dot To Dot Fest (venue tbd)
Tue 31st May – London Water Rats

Venues for the all-day, multi-site Dot To Dot Festival are still to be confirmed, with numerous bands playing several different locations in each city.  Tickets are on sale now from http://www.seetickets.com/Tour/DOT-TO-DOT-FESTIVAL?filler3=efestivals.  More info on the event is available at http://www.dottodotfestival.co.uk/ and you can ‘like’ them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/dottodotfestival?sk=wall

Tickets for the London Water Rats show are also available now, priced just £6.  You can pick them up online at http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=440151&interface

Founded in Malmö, Sweden at the end of 2007, Royal Republic are refreshingly different.  Loaded with a punk sensibility and a funk-influenced repertoire chock full of explosive energy, the band comprises Adam Grahn (vocals), Hannes Irengård (guitar), Jonas Almén (bass) and Per Andreasson (drums).

You can hear current single, ‘Tommy Gun’ here: http://snd.sc/ejR2Mf.   To watch the video and pick up further band info, point your mouse at http://www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk/artist/Royal+Republic.  ‘Tommy Gun’ is taken from the band’s first full-length album, ‘We Are The Royal’, which hit UK stores last week.
