Scorpions to release DVDs

On January 24th I brought you the news that Scorpions would be putting down the instruments to retire after their upcoming world tour.

Now in an interview with Billboard, guitarist Rudolf Schenker talked about the end of Scorpions after their two year world tour, which begins in March, and how the full tour will be filmed for releases when the band is gone.

“We will sit together after we take a vacation and make a list and then come out with different (releases),” Schenker says. “We`ll make a plan and then come out year by year with some surprise kind of stuff.”

As stated by the band, they wish to go out on the ultimate high before it’s too late:

“You can’t think about Scorpions at 70, not moving on stage, playing ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’ — but on stage it’s not like a hurricane, it’s a very small wind”
