Seven Deadly to headline the Takeover stage at this year’s Download Festival
have announced that they will headline this year’s The Boardie Takeover stage at on the 7th June. The stage will feature four bands and two DJs to kick off the festival before the main festival starts the following day. Bassist Bobby Town (BobbySeven) says “We are absolutely stoked to have been asked to play the Takeover night at Download 2012, a festival and location that holds so many awesome memories for us all. For a band like us at such an early stage of their career to be doing this is mind blowing! We cannot wait to tear it up with you guys and help make this the best Download Festival EVER! See you in the pit for the show and at the bar afterwards for the shots!”

As a hard working band, Download is seen by all as the ‘Holy Grail’ of festivals and is the festival bands aim their goals towards. Lazarus Syndrome vocalist Peter Ford told us “Walking the same ground as some of my idols is one thing, but to get the opportunity to play where they’ve played is possibly the most epic thing I’ll ever do as a musician!” Guitarist Mike Hollows added “I’ve been to Download every year as a fan and to now be playing it as well is literally a dream come true!”
