Slayer cancel all upcoming tour dates

Due to the recurrence of a back injury to vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, Californian thrash metal legends Slayer have been forced to cancel all of their scheduled tour dates.

The cancelled dates include the American and Canadian Carnage tours, which the band were due to co-headline with Megadeth throughout January and February, as well as a European headline tour which was supposed to take place throughout March and April.

This European tour was originally scheduled for November 2009, but Araya’s persistent back problems were also the reason behind this postponement. No plans to reschedule any of the dates have yet been announced.
