Smashing Pumpkins work on free, 44 track, album!

Yes you read the headline correctly; Smashing Pumpkins will release 44 new tracks, for free!

Teargarden by Kaleidyscope will be the eighth studio album from the band, and announced by frontman Billy Corgan, the 44 song album will be released for free over the internet.

Not all the tracks will be released at once; Corgan has stated tracks will be released one at a time, “an album you can hear as its being made”.

The album is being recorded and the first track is expected in October, with a new track every two to four weeks until all 44 tracks are released!

Although you can download the tracks for free when released, be sure to keep look out for the 11 limited edition CD EPs which will be released, with four songs each, culminating in a box set release.
