Snow to return before the end of 2011

Snow, featuring original members Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot, Ratt) on guitar, Tony Cavazo (Quiet Riot, Hurricane) on bass and Stephen Quadros on drums (7th Sun, Showtime Networks, Pride Fighting Championships) are set to begin a new chapter in their joint musical history.

The brothers Cavazo and Quadros have been in discussions for some time to reunite, but previous business obligations – Carlos recording and touring with Ratt, Tony gigging with Hurricane (and others), Stephen commentating on mixed martial arts TV shows on Showtime Networks (Strikeforce Challengers) – have taken precedent…until now!

Stephen recently attended a Hurricane show in Hollywood, CA, where Tony introduced him backstage to lead vocalist Andrew Freeman (The Offspring, Lynch Mob), who is enthusiastic about taking on the vocal role in Snow.

Originally based out of Arcadia, CA, Snow was a heavy metal/hard rock foursome who stirred things up on the Los Angeles music scene from 1978-1981.

Comprised of Carlos Cavazo on guitar, Tony Cavazo on bass, Doug Ellison on lead vocals and Stephen Quadros on drums, Snow performed regularly at The Whiskey A Go Go, The Starwood, The Troubadour, Golden West Ballroom, The Cuckoo’s Nest, Pookies and The Woodsound, along with headline shows at The Santa Monica Civic and The Pasadena Civic.

The group released a self-titled 5-song EP in 1980 that included popular Snow songs “Crack The Whip” and “No Way To Treat A Lady”. Snow’s music received radio airplay on KROQ and KLOS. The original Snow EP has become somewhat of a collector’s item.

Carlos Cavazo enjoyed platinum record selling success with Quiet Riot in the 1980s (Quiet Riot’s “Metal Health” album went to #1 in the US charts in 1983 and sold 6 million copies) and most recently with Ratt (2010, “Infestation” album and tour).

Tony Cavazo co-wrote the top 40 single “Metal Health (Bang Your Head)” (Quiet Riot), recorded 4 albums and toured with Hurricane.

Stephen Quadros recorded the “From The Beginning” album with 7th Sun, and performed live in concert with Mike Pinera (Blues Image), Dennis Dunnaway (Alice Cooper) and Albert Bouchard (Blue Oyster Cult). Outside of music Quadros has become internationally known as a television commentator in the mixed martial arts world for his work with Showtime Networks (Strikeforce Challengers), Pride Fighting Championships, Cage Rage, as well as the being on the Pride Mode in the upcoming (January 2012) UFC Undisputed 3 video game.

Stay tuned for live concert dates and more!
