Stone Sour part ways with bassist Shawn Economaki

Stone Sour have revealed that bassist Shawn Economaki is no longer part of their line-up. Jim Root revealed the news via Instagram when he posted an image of a new bassist. Jim commented: “Shawn is no longer with us. A lot has happened in the past year… We need to move forward and they’ll be more detail when the time is right. He’s still a great friend and we’re in touch. But for now we have a mystery dude that shreds filling in for the studio.”

Cory Taylor later confirmed the news via Twitter.
