Straight Line Stitch to release new album via Spinefarm and Download UK debut

Straight Line Stitch will have their new studio album, ‘The Fight Of Our Lives’, released on June 6th 2011 via Spinefarm Records.

Produced and mixed by the Grammy-nominated Johnny K (Disturbed, Machine Head, etc.), this latest release – the follow-up to 2008’s ‘When Skies Wash Ashore’ – features 11 brand new compositions, including first single/video ‘Conversion’; however, the UK version of the album will also include two bonus studio tracks, previously unreleased.

Since first coming together, this Knoxville outfit have been steadily ascending the rock & metal ranks as the result of quality song-writing married to an approach that can best be described as ‘determined’. Plus, in singer Alexis Brown they have a powerful, impassioned artist capable of standing toe to toe with the best metal singers around, male or female.

According to Alexis:

“The only thing that comes to mind when I think of our new record is excitement! As a band, we’ve grown leaps and bounds in comparison to our last release…

“And I’m really stoked that ‘Conversion’ is the first single – it’s one of my favourite songs on the record, all about shedding old skin and becoming another being…”

Armed with new guitarist Pat Pattison (replacing Kris Norris), it has now been confirmed that SLS – completed by Seth Thacker (guitar), Jason White (bass) and Kanky Lora (drums) – will make their live UK debut at the Download Festival in June 2011. Further UK dates will follow.
