
Temple Of The Dog reunite for three songs at Pearl Jam 20th Anniversary gig
At the first night of Pearl Jam’s 20th Year Anniversary festival fans were given a rare treat when Temple Of The Dog reunited to perform three songs as well as a cover from Mother Love Bone.
Chris Cornell was brought on stage at the festival and opened with ‘Stardog Champion’ originally released by Mother Love Bone on their only full length studio album ‘Apple’. Mother Love Bone featured Pearl Jam and Temple Of Dog members Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard.
After performing the cover of ‘Stardog Champion’, Temple Of The Dog performed ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven’, ‘Reach Down’ and ‘Hunger Strike’ – the first three opening songs from their self-titled and only studio album.
Temple Of The Dog featured the current Pearl Jam line-up of Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder plus Chris Cornell who was their lead vocalist with Vedder handling backing vocals.
