Testament guitarist unsure if current line-up could make it through dark days

Speaking to Radio Fireball, Testament guitarist Eric Peterson has revealed that he is worried if the band’s current line-up would stick together through dark days.

“If the record does good, which I think it will, it’ll see Testament doing another record. There’s some people in the band, I think, aren’t a hundred percent there unless it keeps going good. That’s pretty extreme. For me, I’m down for whatever. I started the band, I’m totally into it. This is what I do. If Testament sees darker days, I don’t know if this line-up would stick.”

Testament have experienced plenty of line-up changes in the past but the current line-up does feature four of the five members who did record their debut album, ‘The Legacy.’ Eric Peterson has remained with the band since 1983 when they formed whereas Greg Christian parted ways in 1996 before rejoining in 2004. Alex Skolnick originally left the band in 1993 before reuniting for a period in 2001 and then on a permanent basis again in 2005. Chuck Billy has remained with the band since joining in 1986 and Gene Hoglan made a one album appearance on the 1997 release ‘Demonic’ before parting and rejoining in 2011.
