The Darkness Reunite For Download 2011

This morning Download announced the news that everyone has been waiting for since the announcement that Def Leppard were headlining the Friday night, The Darkness have reformed and will be special guests on the first night!

 

Speaking about reuniting and playing Download lead singer Justin Hawkins said

“The idea of playing Download terrifies us, we played in an early slot on the main stage in 2003 and we were frightened then. It’s reassuring to know that nothing has changed.

On a serious note, it’s the most rockest of festivals and the perfect place for us to begin the next phase of our journey”

 

Also announced for the festival were Funeral For A Friend (Headlining the 3rd stage on Saturday), Framing Hanley, Plain White T’s, Kvertlak and Hydra Da Hero.
