The Gracious Few release new song Great Houses as a free download

The Gracious Few, the American supergroup featuring guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey from the band Live, along with lead vocalist Kevin Martin and guitarist Sean Hennesy from the band Candlebox, have released a brand new song titled β€˜Great Houses’ as a free download.

Chad Taylor stated the following about the song: β€œAt some level, I’ve always been a blues guitarist. I wrote the riff to “Great Houses” stoned on the music of Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. The great thing about The Gracious Few is that our band can fully embrace the dark underbelly of a song like this. Dana Colley, saxophonist for the incredible group Morphine added his soulful baritone and the recording went to another level. Kevin Martin and I shared a few emails about the turmoil in Haiti following the earthquake and how the problem seemed so looming. We wanted to help but didn’t know how. In my reading, I stumbled onto a story of Haitian folklore and sent it Kevin. Somehow, he birthed these mystical lyrics mirroring the theme in the story and the sorrow we felt for the people of Haiti.”
