The Treatment release new single and film music video
The Treatment, the five-piece rock troupe from Cambridge who have recently appeared at both the Sonisphere & High Voltage festivals, have just released their first single, ‘Drink, F**k, Fight’, through Spinefarm Records.
This brand new track is taken from the band’s debut album, ‘This Might Hurt’, set for release on September 5th, also through Spinefarm.
To film the ‘DFF’ video, the five musicians took over the disused Royal Hospital Haslar in Gosport, Hampshire, the largest brick building in England when it was built back in 1746… plenty of room then for a special asylum for deeply disturbed sailors, and generally speaking the perfect place to capture The Treatment in full flow…
Here, they were joined by a number of fans plus doctors & nurses of questionable medical repute – the result being a clip (performed to the ‘Drink, Rock, Fight’ version of the song, for obvious reasons!) that successfully captures the momentum of the track, recorded, as with the rest of the album, by Airrace guitarist/songwriter Laurie Mansworth and mixed by Tony Newton at Iron Maiden main-man Steve Harris’ Barnyard Studio in Essex.
Next up, The Treatment headline the Borderline club in Central London (an ‘album launch’ event on September 6th), before heading off around Europe as Special Guests to Alice Cooper on his ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare’ tour. If there’s any rock ‘n’ roll justice, these teenage titans will be joining The Coop onstage for a nightly rendition of ‘School’s Out’!
