Tiago Della Vega regains title as world’s fastest guitarist?

It has yet to be confirmed but Tiago Della Vega may have regained his title as the world’s fastest guitar player. The Brazilian guitarist held the world record for performing ‘The Flight Of The Bumblebee’ by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov at 340 beats per minute in Las Vegas before going on to break the record himself in Sao Paulo in 2008.

Earlier this year, 24th April 2011, John Taylor raised the stakes when he performed the song at 600 beats per minute, the video of which you can view below.

On 16th October 2011 at the Cannes Festival, Della Vega attempted to beat the 600 beats per minute record by moving it up to 750 beats per minute. Guinness have yet to approve his world record which is documented on video below but the impressive display can be viewed right here.
