This morning Download announced the news that everyone has been waiting for since the announcement that Def Leppard were headlining the Friday night, The Darkness have reformed and will be special guests on the first night!

The Download Festival is a three day rock music festival held annually at Donington Park, England (which hosted Monsters of Rock between 1980 and 1996, and 2002’s Ozzfest) and recently Andy Copping, the man who books every band for the Download Festival, agreed to answer questions for EspyRock.

Steadlur was signed with Roadrunner Records, so many might wonder what happened.  As Philip Steadlur has been saying “life goes on”.  He will be joining Jeffree Star on stage at the Masquerade in Atlanta, GA on May 26th 2010.

Annihilator are preparing for the release of their new self-titled album on May 17th and to warm fans up also, they have released a brand new track titled ‘Coward’. You can listen to the track below the official track listing.

Drive A have released their brand new music video for their single ‘Take A Side’ which is available from the bands official website as  free download if you sign up to their mailing list.

Periphery are streaming their new song ‘Insomnia’ which is set to feature on the bands debut album self-titled debut album. The band have recently been signed up by Roadrunner Records to release their debut album in Europe, Middle East, India, Africa, Japan, Australia, & New Zealand with a set release date of May 10th.
